For the money it would be worth it. But the software has malware viruses in it.

I have used VXDIAG for my Pontiac G8 and it worked great. For my GM, I also needed a Key Registration which was an additional charge specifically to program my vehicle.
by Mr.Mario Fuoco on Jul 28, 2022
I got this because i know first hand how much a Tech2 costs (10x the cost of vxdiag). I am running 32bit windows 10. the Tech2 emulation is ok for simple diagnostic but not for programming swapped modules.
by Mr.Leon C.Lee on Jul 28, 2022
The product works very well, drivers and app are ok when you download the correct one and disable any anti-virus.
by Mr.Benjamin Beya on Jul 18, 2022
I bought the VCX NANO device and it came with a "modified" version of Tech2Win which is software for a PC. This device emulates Tech2, MDI, MDI2 and J2534 passthru and is USB.

Hi,

Like to buy working CDS2 to Opel Ampera, is this one correct?
Replied by Jane on Jul 1, 2022
Hello
Which year of the Opel model do you want to support?
Because our device only support Opel after 2010 with GDS2 Software.

it works for me in my 2013 chevrolet malibu programming the tcm, when you are doing this dont forget to put your car in on possition shuich.
by Mr.Jacques Van Wyk on Jun 17, 2022
I tried a few of the other knock off “tech2” programmers and none of them worked as promised. This one actually worked to program my brake pedal, clutch pedal, crank relearn and also cycle my ABS pump to bleed the brakes. Good deal, would recommend for the diy!

The VXDIAG GM Tech II emulator is the cheapest way to a bi-directional scan tool for owners of 2013 and older GM OBD vehicles (if you already have a laptop computer). If you want to be able to diagnose rather than shotgunning parts and hoping, this is one way to go. This unit allows you to do things like operate solenoids, roll windows up and down, module relearn etc. It also does things like brake bleeding, and other chassis/brake functions. It can also reprogram modules if you purchase a license from GM. The fussy part is to get it to work. I am using a Windows 10 laptop. It took some time to find all of the software and get it installed. Anti virus must be disabled to install software. This is something you use with an old laptop, not your good one for work. Once you get it running, (there are videos showing how to install software) be patient. It sometimes takes several attempts to get into an area, but once you do you can accomplish what you need to do. I always wanted a Tech II scan tool, and this would have saved me a lot of heartaches if available 20 years ago. If you have no idea how systems on cars work, this is probably not for you. It allows more in depth analysis of problems than a simple code reader. $129 vs $1000 and up. Invaluable, but fussy for someone who has the time to work with it.

I spent a lot of time on Google reading all sorts of stuff as I worked through various issues getting that tuner to the point I could program the BECM and HPCM2 to resolve my SHVCS message. Oh, and I also had my anti-virus turned off entirely while installing everything.

Works perfect. I personally used it to: - Diagnose fuel pump function - Factory reset throttle body blade after cleaning - Theft lock unlock factory stereo - Programmed new key fobs This works on more than just Corvettes and cheaper alternative to GM Tech II.

The VCX Nano is a good tool. It provides GM MDI GDS2 scan tool capability but you do need a laptop to use it. It will let you work with any GM car built since 1997 as it covers older models with a simulation of a Tech II. It will work with the GM online tech line diagnostic site where you can purchase 3 day access to the GM tools for $57. It lets you do diagnostics on the complete car Vs just OBD II and maybe ABS or Airbag. You basically get the same capability the GM mechanic has in the service bay. The downside is it can still be hard to understand what you need to do when loading the software on your laptop. One benefit is as they update the software you are able to download/install the new version.

Ive used the SPS2 page with a VXDIAG VCX Nano with good luck. With that said, I would 100% only ever program the car with a power supply attached to the vehicle, specifically one that is meant to hold voltage stable during programming. Voltage issues can and will cause programming failures, which likely will result in module replacement needs.

I have the nano for gm. I’ve only used it to program and haven’t had any problems

Allows me to speak to my 2013 chevy volt. I bought an old laptop of CL for cheap. Within an hour I had the software insalled and was talking to my car. The pages with links to software are confusing, but pick the latest links and follow the videos it works. Also follow recommended hardware.

I'm about to purchase a vcx nano for OPEL, USB version (no wifi, $129)
for Opel Ampera 2012, what is a Chevy Volt variant.
I'd like to ship it to Hungary, Europe.
I see, You are shipping some items from Czech, inside EU, so there isn't
any additional custom to pay,
but I cannot see if this product is from the EU, or from US.

I was unable to use GDS2.. i get this message no valid lease found. vcx nano serial number N52GM04***.
Then I sent email to customer service Jane, got reply as follow.
1. GDS2 software needs to work with win7 or win10 PROFESSIONAL 32bit or 64bit. CANNOT use HOME version
2. Besides, for GDS2, need to use GDS2 patch to run.
GDS2 Patch: https://mega.nz/file/oZ820RCJ#BXRW3mOGCC7mfMjtaJ71AzjwghBlCogoM7RNGWi9KmE
Need to close antivirus and windows defender before download the patch.

I use win10 pro system, so I use the patch to run again, its working now.

The software needs time to install properly, but after You figure it out it does the job of a $1300.00 GM Tech2 scan tool (I was successful in accomplishing my project, but it took some major frustration to get the install correct).
by Mr.Nikola Bosanac on May 5, 2022
All I bought it for was to bleed brakes it worked. Be prepared to spend some time to get it loaded.
by Mr.Rafał Borek on May 5, 2022
I wanted to save a few $ and figured it’d be handy to have this tool around. I’d like to consider myself pretty tech savvy, and this product is not difficult to install. Part of the installation process requires you to disable any and all anti virus software to properly install. After that’s all said and done the operation of this device is working with TLC(Techline Connect). Would recommend to a friend.
