Go to vxdiagshop Look under the Technical Service tab and their are instructions to walk you through the whole install. It seems for it to work correctly that everything needs to be installed in a certain order. They also have a download tab that has all the files you need. When looking at vxdiag on other sites my antivirus automatically flagged them as unsafe. It did not on vxdiagshop and vxdiagshop is a secure site.

It is useful for diagnosing and testing various things and systems on the vehicle. Has a LOT of built in test abilities like crank position sensor variation relearn, troubleshooting the ABS (4WAL) system, can also change the tire size installed (also in the ABS menus) which recalibrates the speedo as well as adjusts the shift points and transfer case (I'm not sure offhand what tire sizes it shows for an H2 but I'll check), can recode replacement stock stereos, test all lighting, injector balance tests, recalibrate the HVAC blend door actuators, literally can activate/test pretty much everything electrical on the vehicle in addition to reading and clearing any codes, and if using additional software update the software on certain modules. Most all other "code reader" devices can just check and clear codes.

so once you get all the software installed and purchase the license from GM the pass thru device worked GREAT! paid for itself on the first job. tip if you don't feel comfortable installing the software find a nerd to help you i had to program a navigation radio which i have done many times at the dealer. it was nice to be able to program it at my current job.

Nice equipment to have but it’s limited through the car manufacturers software.

I bought one and used it many times for basic stuff like brake bleeding, Vin install of a Denso unit. I haven't added the licence to get intothe BCM, etc, but I have the program to do that, just haven't made the time to install it.

Saved me a lot of time, keeping me out of the dealership.

Successfully installed the included software and driver on the cheapest laptop WalMart had ($120 Lenovo 4gb ram/128gb ssd/Windows 11 in S mode). I did have to take the laptop out of S mode and turn off AV. Took installing each thing twice or more. Was even able to downgrade T2W firmware to 30.004 for those who might want addl capability. Overall, this seems like it will be an invaluable diagnostic tool. Provides tons of live data and gives me the ability to actuate individual circuits to help diagnose more precisely what is wrong. I like it enough that now I feel the need to buy another one for my non-GM car.

Hello
We replied you by emails many times, asking you to offer us photos or video to show more problem details. So we can confirm with engineer. But no reply from you.

I have now ordered this adapter. This can be used wirelessly or with a USB cable. Even if I "may not" flash it myself, it's worth the $129 to me. That way I can show the retailer exactly the updates they claim they can't find or don't exist.

the vxdiag can be a bit complicated to setup but once you get it worked out it does the job.

So i connected to the car, all good. Lot's of stuff to play with and get wrong too. Did a steering angle sensor reset and got a Service ESP. Then did Steering Angle sensor learn and all good. I think i should of just done a steering angle sensor learn ( i know for next time). I can confirm that GDS2 will allow me to perform an ABS bleed, park brake release, learn, reset oil service life, etc. So i'm happy camper.

First time I installed the software it didn't work. So I uninstalled, downloaded new software, and re-installed everything and it works great now!

Let me first point out that for the money this is a great value for working 2013+ model GM cars. It is dealer level for diagnostics and will work a a pass through for module programming (with $45/VIN GM subscription).

Just as good as the MDI! Not a single complaint with it and at a price that can’t be beaten. Used with TECH2WIN, techline connect, SPS, and DPS

I have the vxdiag and works well, maybe not as well as a true tech2 due to my old crappy laptop. It diagnosed several issues already. Hardest part is installing the software and getting it to work properly.
Some suggestions:
  1. Use a laptop with an Intel 2nd-4th gen CPU.
  2. Use windows 7 (windows 10 seems to be less stable)
  3. Wired connection works best
Installing:
Push windows key + E on keyboard. Left click on cd drive icon click open on menu. Then open GDSAutoInstall folder and open GDS2AutoInstall.exe (with a gm logo). Follow the prompts and install (your PC will give a pop-up say yes and install). Once that is done go back and open tech2win folder and open AutoInstall.exe (with gm logo in blue). A pop-up will appear run the application and follow the prompts to install. Finally go back and install VX Manager last... When its all set and finished you should be able to emulate a tech 2 on your PC.

The scanner works great but the install took me 2 hrs. If you want something reasonably priced, it is good for u.
by Mr.Brandon Dills on Jul 25, 2022
i did a little poking around with my VCXNano (its a great alternative if you can't afford a genuine Tech2 like me) and i got some various screenshots to map out my engine's warm up cycle according to my ECM
