How to Fix VXDIAG Benz “Firmware is Older than Installed Program Version” Error?

Problem:

Had a problem with VXDIAG VCX SE Benz VCI and 2023.09 Xentry. VCI is not detected by the computer. It reported an error “Firmware is older than installed program version”.

Solution:

Run VCI Recovery program on the desktop.

Don’t connect via WiFi when recovering VCI. Connect the device via USB cable.

Update Diagnostic VCI.

Select VCI version as 202309 after the update is finished.

If there is no 202309 version selection, check

1).  if Benz C6 has been installed/updated in VX Manager.

2).

Check if your VXDIAG Benz firmware is up-to-date or not. Update firmware to latest version.
