VXDIAG VCX FD Techline Connect Cannot Communicate with CAN FD Vehicle Solution

Problem:

Set up the vxdiag VCX CAN FD GM j2534 with Techline Connect SPS2. Tried to program ECU module on a Chevrolet Corvette 2021, VIN: 1G1YB3D45M5103363.

If select vcx passthru, it will read VIN but fails to establish communication, if select MDI, it cannot read VIN.

Firmware and license are up-to-date. Any idea?

Here is the clue.

Chevrolet Corvette 2021 is the new CAN FD model. The VXDIAF VCX FD GM scanner supports CAN FD communication.

If cannot establish communication between Techline Connect and vehicle using VCX FD, do the following:

1. Make sure you install the correct vx manager driver for VCX FD

VXDIAG VCX FD Techline Connect Cannot Communicate with CAN FD Vehicle 5

Install passthru driver only. Don’t need to install GDS2 driver in vx manager.

Then try again.
