Reprogramming BECM & HPCM2 fixed my car (Volt 2012). using vxdiag vcx nano gm and Techline Connect. The BECM is the module that has to be reprogrammed for this (and HPCM2 is often done at the same time). Make sure to use a battery tender on the 12v battery during the process.

I have a VXDAG VCX Nano GM, I use it for Vauxhalls. Great bit of kit. Download and install the latest VXMANAGER. Plug in the VCX, open the VCXmanager. Update its firmware. Click the License button to get the licenses applied to the unit. Now its ready. Now you can use TECHII WIN

Make sure you install the VX Manager software BEFORE you connect it to your computer. It was a PITA to set up, but after all of it, it worked like a charm. Saved me a fortune from towing it to the dealer and it worked with a USED PCM. Would use and buy again!!!! Would have liked to had the WIFI version though this one is USB wired.

You can get a Tech2 Diagnostic Interface for $800+ or this handy passthrough adapter, used with your laptop for just over $100. It is not intuitive and I'd recommend checking somewhere else for instructions on how to use it. As far as the software on the included USB, only install what you need as some software is used for older GM, the other for newer. If you're worried about sketchy software, install it within a VM. Like others, I was successfully able to passthrough the USB device using VMWare and perform the work I needed done. You might need an ACDelco subscription ($45/VIN/2 years) to make the changes you want. This is a GM decision so save the one star reviews for them and their DRM. Even with paying that, I avoided a tow to the dealership along with the one week wait for an appointment, restoring functionality after a faulty 'protected codes' in my Chevy Volt.

use a dedicated laptop, disable Windows Defender, watch a couple of YouTube videos. Worked exactly as it should. I was able to disable the TPMS of my 03 Corvette, which was my purpose of buying it.

All needed soft came on a usb stick and i have be able to used it with sps2 with small fee to do the job on the gmc 2011 Perfect GM tool

I installed it on windows 10 pros and I used it on a 2009 Silverado Duramax to do the injector balance rate and works great!

I recently use the download from VXdiagShop and it works for me, There have been some updates recently for the nano and the manager so make sure you have updated the firmware and the licenses Neal

get a vxdiag (i used wired as less problems) and load tech2win software preferred a win7 system (10 doable but has been issues). A obd2 extension cable is a must or it hangs by pedals and cannot use driving easily. The software loading fine and done a ECM module programming with SPS2.

Software easy to setup as I have been doing computers since the 1980's. However once up and running I can use GDS for 2014 up Holden Commodores and AC Delco SPS programming through the pass thru works fine as well. BUT load tech2win with any Holden Commodore software and watch out as it does not read anything but the CAN bus modules and can set codes on the GM Lan bus modules. I was told that t2w won't do Holden.

Works great for a wide array of GM vehicles giving you dealer level data and control. VXDIAG does a nice job of providing plenty of how to information to assist with the software install. I didn’t have any issue and gave tested both Tech2 and GDS2 applications. Special functions and test operations all worked great and I was able to review so much data on each vehicle I connected it to. Tried with a 06 Malibu, 02 S10, and 15 Acadia, and all worked well. I stuck with the USB model to ensure the most reliable connection. If you are not computer friendly then the setup may be a challenge, but most should be able to follow the directions with success.

no instruction for installation. you have to contact the company for the patch links to install gds2 ** ALL FIREWALL and ANTIVIRUS must be off or it will not work *** this took me about 2 hours to successfully setup but now it is working flawlessly highly recommended

Buy the device from their website. Make sure you delete any related software before you install the software you bought. And any settings that you changed trying to get it to work. Windows home edition won’t run virtual machines, if you know what Red Hat means windows pro upgrade is free and easy. To do this software build and know how to use this tool’s software, you need to be an expert with computers and expert mechanic. If you are both…. This tool is insanely cool and cheap!!!! You can do anything with GM owned company vehicles 96 and up, Opel too.

It did what I needed it to do, to interface with my GM vehicle and load new calibrations from the GM website that is subscription based.

I was able to turn on the daytime running lights\automatic headlights and enable the rear door locks on my 14 some time ago (with the TechLine Connect program. I use a VXDiag Nano.It works fine.

I purchased the VXDIAG VCX Nano GDS2 and Tech2Win to program the keyfob for my 2009 Pontiac Montana SV6 EXT (Canadian version). It worked very well. Based on my experience, you only need to install the Tech2Win software if you want to program fob for Canadian version of the Pontiac Montana sv6. I used the 15777636 fob. Good luck.

This device has worked flawlessly for my. I use it on windows 11. I have successfully ran Tech2Win and Forscan (yes it works with Forscan!) The functionality is amazing and I highly recommend this to others!

I use the VCX Nano. Getting the software installed is INDEED a pain in the ass BUT IT IS WORTH IT. That little thing is a TechII, MDI, and SPS tool all in one! That thing has saved SEVERAL of my customers asses due to tuner error. I recently had to fix someones tune BUT they didnt have a stock file AND they were running a 3 bar OS. I was able to use SPS to pull an updated STOCK OS from GM. I was able to "marry" my ECM and TCM when I replaced the trans in my G8. Helped a buddy out when he had to replace his BCM in his car. Helped someone program new keys in his G8 when he lost ALL OF THE KEYS (Cant do that without SPS). This little thing is worth ALL OF THE 109 BUCKS I PAID FOR IT.
