It works, just install VMWare off the official site go to the allscanner site and Download the latest vxmanager, and run the tech2 autoinstaller from the CD. Then download the GDS2 drivers from the link in the instructions PDF that shipped with the CD and run the autoinstaller. Then install GDS2/tech2 and passthrough drivers and vxmanager with the adapter plugged in. Update firmware if asked. Order of operations once all is installed: plug in nano adapter to PC, launch vxmanager, launch GDS2, then if you are a pre-2011 GM vehicle launch tech2, then plug in nano to OBD2 port with vehicle in the on position.

It's a better product than what GM makes, and an excellently designed device for a lot less money. I reprogrammed a 2008 Cadillac xlr ecu in less than 4 minutes using just a Lenovo Win 10 Celeron laptop. The VX manager runs fine on Win 10 and so does the Tech2Win.

It was exactly fitted my expectations. It was able to read check engine light codes, clear codes, and perform relearn procedures for certain sensors. It was worth the money and easy to set up.

My 2008 SRX did not fold flush as it had an issue with the 3rd row at first. I thought it was a sensor, so removed the seat, but it was not. I installed the software, ran Tech 2 and struggled finding which option was the right one. Eventually I found it and was able to recalibrate the bench. This is such a great tool!

It's a great product and worth the price, now I have another nice tool in my tool box.
You will make it to SPS in the end. Select a year, a make, a model, then you can start self-learning how to program.

Incredible value, little tricky to setup. It’s a little tricky getting the software setup if you’re not good with computers but luckily there’s plenty of YouTube videos showing you the steps. Once it’s working though this baby is invaluable for using on GM vehicles. Just used it the other day to bleed the abs module on my brother’s truck, a procedure that can only be done using a high end scan tool. He couldn’t thank me enough as it immediately firmed the pedal up.

After trying to get this item working on multiple laptops, I was finally able to use it on a 64 bit laptop running Win 7 Ultimate. Once it's up and running it works great on my 2008 Chevy Express with 6.6L diesel. Paid $50 for GM TDS 2 year subscription. Loaded TCM and ECM with VXDIAG. Be patient and you will get it running and usable. Hardest part was actually getting GM SPS online system to work with IE

The vxdiag modules are cheaper than buying a Tech2 but there is bit more stuffing around and it may be pain to get working for some.
I bought mine here. I have found that this does everthying a Tech2 can do.

Once the radiator is replaced, you need to bleed the coolant system which can be done with a software called GDS2, which can be ran using an OBD device called VCX Nano.

It is able to check all modules, reset the radio screen that frequently freezes and calibrated the front viewing camera.
Next step, check the modules that need updating.

Can it put the Brakes in Servicemode ?

I have one of these and can confirm it works great. Software was a pain to setup, found out what I was given required 32bit windows for some reason. It will do anything a tech 2 can do. ABS bleeding, BCM AND ECU programming
